Dallas Chihuahua Club Code of Ethics
If accepted as a member, I pledge the following:
(A) I will comply with the rules, regulations, and code of ethics of the Dallas Chihuahua Club, Inc., and will act at all times to uphold and preserve the Dallas Chihuahua Club, Inc. for the betterment of the Chihuahua breed.
(B) In my breeding program, I will make every effort to breed only from healthy Chihuahuas of genetically sound background, good temperament, and good quality.
(C) I will never sell any of my dogs to pet shops, wholesalers, or suspected wholesalers, through flea markets or any individual who does not give evidence of being willing and able to care for a dog in a suitable manner.
(D) I will not engage in false or misleading advertising, nor will I malign my competitors by making false statements regarding their breeding practices or their person.
(E) As an exhibitor, I will practice good sportsmanship, good ring manners, and courtesy to both judges and fellow exhibitors.
Further, I agree that if I fail to adhere to any of the foregoing, this will constitute conduct injurious to the welfare of the club and the Chihuahua breed, for which conduct, I will be subject to disciplinary actions by the Board of Directors of the Dallas Chihuahua Club, Inc., with a report sent to the American Kennel Club at the Board’s discretion.
